Can I get BAMS with 287 marks with obc ncl category through state quota U.P.
With 287 marks under OBC-NCL, you're eligible for BAMS counseling under UP quota, but the likelihood of admission into government BAMS colleges is slim, as these institutions usually require higher NEET scores.
You may consider private or semi-government AYUSH colleges, where cutoffs tend to be lower.
With an NEET score of 287 under the OBC NCL category, getting a BAMS seat in UP government colleges is unfortunately not very likely you'd typically need around 450 to 500 marks for those spots However, in private BAMS colleges, your score falls within the expected cutoff range, which for OBC students is around 280 to 380.
So, if you're aiming for government colleges, it’s going to be tough. But you still have a reasonable chance in private institutions through state counselling.
I’d suggest checking the Careers360 NEET UG College Predictor to get a clearer picture of which colleges you might be eligible for based on your category rank and score.

Hello student,
It is unlikely to get a government BAMS seat with 287 marks in NEET under the OBC-NCL category in Uttar Pradesh. Government BAMS colleges typically require higher scores, often above 400-450 for reserved categories. However, there's a chance to get into a private BAMS college, especially if you're willing to consider colleges with higher fees or those under the management quota.
Thank you!!
Hello,
Sorry, with the marks of 287 in NEET, it's very unlikely that you will get a BAMS seat with the OBC-NCL category through the UP state category. Because the cutoffs for the BAMS in government colleges are higher than your marks, and it also applies to your category. But your score might be sufficient for the private colleges.
I hope it will clear your query!!
So with this rank in NEET 2025 it is not possible to get a government seat in Uttar pradesh even though you are from OBC NCL category because the cutt off go much higher around 450-470.
You can go for private BAMS colleges. Some private BAMS accept lower ranks around 250-350 for OBC.
