As per admssion policies of majority of B-schools, you need to appear for at least one of the various entrance exam like CAT, XAT, CMAT, GMAT, MAT etc. However, the percentile at which many B-schools allow admission might be irrelevant owing to their low cutoff. A few colleges annoucne their a cutoff percentile close to scoring zero in the entrance test. Thus, such admissions turn out to be almost direct admission. Also, many B-schools take entrance test score to shortlist candidates and put very low weightage on CAT score. In such cases, more emphasis is put on PI, Educational background, Social awareness and other aspects which can be evaluated differently by different institutes. So, many B-schools though don't offer direct admission as their policy, they grant admission to even those candiates who score zero in admission tests.
You just need to appear for an entrance test and you will get multiple admission offer waiting for you!
