Can I get free seat in government college.iam from general category

Dear Sirisha, you haven't mentioned the course you are enquiring about and your highest qualification. Ideally, for qualifying for any entrance examination candidates from General Category should have a minimum aggregate of 50% in their highest qualification. For example, if you want to apply for MBBS through NEET, you should have scored 50% with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English as your core subjects. For Reserved Category students it is 40% and 45%. And once you need to qualify your entrance examination with a very good marks range because of the Reservation in place, the merit list changes. But if you really score good, you can get a free seat in a Govt. college in General Category. There have been students who have achieved that feat as well.
