Since GATE results are heavily dependent on
1. Difficulty level of Question Paper
2. No of people appearing
The cutoffs for marks in IIT's doesnt remain constant which again depends on
1. Application Deadlines
2. No of PSU recruitments
3. General mood of students
4. No of Duplicate applications(wastage of seats)
5. Category
I am assuming GEN category for the sake of simplicity.
Anyways to give you an idea
IITB,IISC will close at approx AIR100.
IITD,IITM, approx AIR 150 to AIR200
IITK Separate Written Test,Interview(Shortlist Cutoff AIR400-500)
IITKGP,IITR approx AIR 150 - AIR 300
IITH,
IITJ,IITP, Approx AIR 200 - AIR 350 - AIR 500 - AIR 600
NITT,NITK,NITW etc Approx AIR400 - AIR1000
NITC,NITA etc Approx AIR 800- AIR 1200
DCE,NSIT,COEP etc Approx < AIR 1400,1500

Your rank is not quite good to get IITs for further studies.To secure IITs you need at least 600 rank in gate examination.Even chance of good NITs for further studies is low.For sureity wait till IIT Madras declares score.
