Hello student, Yes you can easily get Information technology or computer science branch in Jaypee Institute of Information Technology Noida sector 62. JIIT allows student to take direct admission who have secured more than 60% PCM percentage and as I can see you have such a wonderful PCM percentage you can surely get a branch of your choice at JIIT.
All the Best!
Hello, Sanya. Congratulations for your Class 12 boards exam result and I wish you all the best for your future.
This year, JIIT, Noida, have clearly specified in their E-brochure how they will draw the Merit List:
a) Percentage calculated for the three subjects (Maths, Physics & one other subject from Chemistry, Computer Science, Information Technology, Biology, Informatics Practices, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subjects, Agriculture, Electronics, Entrepreneurship, Engineering Graphics and Business Studies.)
b) In case of same percentage of marks scored by more than one candidate, merit will be decided as follows:
- Marks score in Mathematics (out of 100),
- Marks score in Physics (out of 100)
- In case of a tie-up after (i) & (ii) above, date of birth will be considered (born earlier will be allotted higher merit). In this regard, one point is worth mentioning is that they have also mentioned on the E-brochure, "a candidates’ date of birth as recorded in the High School/Secondary Education Board Certificate should fall on or after October 01, 2000.
In the Amendment 4.1.3, they have mentioned, candidates should have minimum of 60% marks (55% for SC/ST) in aggregate in 10+2 or its equivalent examination. So, you need not to worry because you have a fair chance of getting admission at JIIT, Noida.
All I can say right now, it's kind of difficult to predict whether you will get chance in CSE or IT as this is completely dependent on Merit List that they publish in subsequent rounds. Based on your aggregate percentage in 10+2 and overall percentage in PCM, there is slight possibility to get chance in IT. I suggest to participate in all the rounds of the counselling process.
I hope you have got your answer. If you have anymore doubts, feel free to share in the forum.
Thank You.
