can I get the previous allocated seat(for which I had made payment too)if I fail to get a higher preferred seat in the subsequent rounds?

Dear Aspirant,
It depends on what option you had chosen during the first allotment round. If you had chosen float then the seat you had been allotted to you remains with you until you get a higher preference option in the next round similarly if you had opted for slide then the alloted seat remains with you until you get another seat for different course in the same institute. Another option is freeze which says that the seat alloted to you is permanent and you can not participate in subsequent rounds.
