can i join 3rd year MBBS , after completion of 2nd year bsc nursing with clear of NEET exam
Hello,
No, you cannot get admission in 3 year MBBS if you have qualified in NEET UG while you are still studying in B.Sc Nursing. If you qualify in NEET UG you will get admission in 1st year MBBS even if you are in B.Sc Nursing. You will have to discontinue B.Sc Nursing if you get seat in a Medical College. You will be eligible to appear for NEET UG if you have passed 10+2 with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English from a recognized board. If you belong to general category you need to score minimum 50% aggregate marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry (that includes marks scored in practical+theory) and for SC/ST/OBC it is minimum 40% aggregate marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry and for PWD it is 45% aggregate marks in Biology, Physics and Chemistry. You need to qualify in NEET UG by scoring the minimum qualifying cut off marks specified by NTA. In 2020 the qualifying cut off marks were as follows
- General: 147-720
- SC/ST/OBC: 113-146
- General PWD: 129-146
- SC/ST/OBC:113-128
Cut off changes every year depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. If you are preparing for NEET you can take up our NEET knockout to help you with your preparation
