VIT Chennai has a very well established campus with all the facilities that you require in a campus. But when compared to it's mother college i.e. Vellore campus it is smaller in area.  Since the campus is not far away from the metropolitan city of Chennai, students there enjoy a city life too.

When we talk in terms of infrastructure, it is at par with the Vellore campus. VIT Chennai is spread across 177 acres area. It also boasts of fully furnished and we'll equipped labs where the students carry out their experiments. It has auditorium, open spaces, outdoor stages and ample space to organise any kind of event.

There are two academic buildings named AB1 and AB2. The layout of these buildings have been done excellently which provides a very conducive environment to study and carry out the research.

Apart from the academics the campus also has two gymnasium. One exclusively for boys and one for girls. The campus also has an athletic track, two badminton court, basketball court, cricket ground, tennis courts and various other courts.

Hostels are either double or triple sharing with all the facilities like WiFi, medical, RO water, television, security, etc.

The campus also has a canteen, chat and bakery food court. There is also a health care clinic inside the campus. There is also a V-Mart shopping mall inside the campus which caters to the various needs of the students. ATM and banking facilities are also provided in the campus and there is also a bus facility for the dayscholars.
