Can I opt for BSc economics rather than BA economics in DU?

first of all I would like to clarify that DU does not provides BSc. Economics it provides BA Economics.
Eligibility criteria for B.A (Hons) - Economics in Delhi University:
Eligibility:
- The candidates who have qualified 10+2 (12th examination) from any recognized board.
- There is no minimum age bar.
- Admission will be based on the merit list.
Minimum Percentage Required: An aggregate of 45% marks in the qualifying examination
Specific Requirements: The merit shall be determined on the basis of one language and three best elective subjects
List of Documents Required at the Time of Admission:
- Class X Board Examination Certificate
- Class X Mark sheet
- Class XII Marks sheet
- Class XII Provisional Certificate / Original Certificate
- Character Certificate
- SC/ST/PWD/CW/KM Certificate ( If its applicable)
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Certificate issued by competent authority ( If its applicable)
- Transfer Certificate from school/college as well as Migration Certificate from Board/University is required from those students who have passed the senior secondary exam from outside Delhi.
- At least two passport size self-attested photographs.

Whereas I'm aware of DU does not have BSc Economics course yet. They only have BA economics as their one of the course to pursue. But you can also choose any other BSc subject and then choose economics as one of your General Elective subject. But i would you suggest you to opt for BA economics hons if you really wish to pursue your career in economics.
