Metallurgical and materials engineering deals with the study of minerals. In this branch the processing and transformation of minerals is involved, it involves the physical metallurgy, kinetics, mechanical behavior of metals. The extraction of metals from recycled material, minerals and other places is being taught in the course.
Metallurgical Engineers have scope in industries which manufacture machineries, automobiles, etc. They also use latest scientific technology like X-Rays, Lasers and other Non-Destructive methods to know more about the materials.
