Yes my dear electrostatics is very important for jee mains as well as for jee advanced too. And for that you can refer to the book Electricity and Magnetism by DC Pandey if you're very weak in this part then. And yes current electricity is very important and only current electricity doesn't constitute for whole electrostatics and you have to study others also.
