can I substitute chem for IT in comedk

Yes. Under the updated COMEDK UGET 2026 eligibility criteria , Chemistry is no longer compulsory as the fourth subject.

To be eligible for B.E./B.Tech admission through COMEDK, you must have:

• Physics (Compulsory)
• Mathematics (Compulsory)
• English (Compulsory)
• Any one of the following: Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics. 40% aggregate for SC/ST/OBC candidates of Karnataka.
• You must pass the required subjects individually.
