can somebody appear as exam general and fill cousellung form as reserved cateogry?
Shivani, you haven't mentioned the exam you are enquiring about. Neverthless, if you look at NEET, the guidelines regarding this are strict. Details like name of Candidate, contact/ address details, category, PwD status, educational qualification, date of birth, etc will be treated as final. Any request or mail for changes in information after the closure of the correction period will not be considered by NTA under any circumstances.vNTA will not change any information entered by the candidates on its own after completion of application process under any circumstances. It is upto the Candidate to enter the correct information. Once the correction window has been closed. NTA does not guarantee that any request for change in information will be entertained.. While we are unsure of the exam you are enquiring about, because the merit list will be prepared based on the Category you have chosen while filling the application form, no last minute changes and requests will be entertained during the counselling process. Infact, no such request will be even considered.
Although your question is not clear on the exam you are talking about, but let me tell you that this is not possible. You cannot appear in exam as general category candidate and then at counseling as reserved category candidate. Your request would not be considered. You can appear as that category only to which you belong and need a proof too if needed. Hope this helps.
Good luck!
