As per the eligibility criteria of DTE Maharashtra, candidates from any recognised board or university, passed 12th with PCM (50% for Gen) and 45% for Reserved category), are eligible for applying/appearing in MHT CET. However, for outside Maharashtra candidates, 15% seats are reserved in private, unaided colleges/institutes of the state. But for this All India 15% quota candidates have to take JEE Main, as these seats are offered on the basis of JEE Main score.

Yes, you can apply for MHTCET but you will not be allowed to get seat in Govt colleges as you can only get admission in private colleges. So it is advisable to give Jee, UPSEE and private colleges entrances like BITSAT, VIT, SRM, Manipal etc because more number of exams will give you more options to choose.
