can we apply for nits in Feb session (general category)

No, you cannot do so. To get admission in a nit you need to apply for josaa through which you get into a iit/nit/gfti. You need to wait right now for all the results of the four sessions and jee mains to be declared and if you crack jee mains then you will be eligible for josaa counseling and your best score out of all the sessions that you would havr attended will be considered .If you do not crack jee advanced after cracking jee mains then you will not be eligible for admission in iit's but eligible for admission in a nit/iiit/gfti. In josaa counseling you will be given a list of colleges in which you are eligible to take admission. You then need to give your choices of colleges in priority manner and you will be assigned a college according to your rank in jee mains or jee advanced. And if you did not get any college through josaa then you can apply for vsab which is a type of special round.
