Yes you can appear for jee mains twice,
Infact, a student can appear for jee mains three times continuously after the 12th board exams.
And 2 times for jee advanced after 12th board continuously.

Yes of course you can appear for JEE twice... If you are Not satisfied with your marks, you can take 1 year gap and prepare again in a better way and appear for the exam.
Every year there are lakhs of students who are giving JEE Exam for the second time.
