If you want to become an IAS officer then you need to clear the exam called upsc and to be eligible for upsc you need to have a graduate degree in any discipline . So , if you want to become an IAS officer you need to complete your graduation after completing your 11th and 12th and yes you can take any subject in your 11th be it commerce or any other stream as the only criteria to be eligible for upsc is to have a graduate degree irrespective of the subject in which one has done his or her graduation.
