Can we consider Metallurgy as a sub stream of mechanical?

No, we cannot consider. Production and industrial engineering is sub stream of mechanical. Metallurgy is independent of mechanical and chemical. Although it is said to be derived from chemical but, its sllybus includes chemical, mechanical, and also material parts.
