can we drop any subject of r18 regulations of jnthuh like if i want to drop any subject.i came to know that jnthu has removed this system of dropping the subjects from r18 regulations?

As per the ACADEMIC REGULATIONS FOR B.TECH. REGULAR STUDENTS WITH EFFECT FROM ACADEMIC YEAR 2018-19 (R-18) . In this document under the point 4.8 it was written that Dropping of subjects/ courses may be permitted, only after obtaining prior approval from the faculty advisor/ counselor ‘within a period of 15 days’ from the beginning of the current semester. This means, that you may have the option of dropping subject, this should be done within 15days from starting of the semester. As it not clearly mentioned about the number of subjects to be exempted. In previous year regulations, students can avail exemption of 6 credits that means students can drop one open elective, one professional elective or two professional elective. But for R18 it is not clearly mentioned about exemption of dropping credits.
