can we give gate exam by doing B.E in electrical

I am currently doing B tech Electrical and Electronuc Engineering. i am aerospace engineering so can i take gate exam in aerospace engineering stream and they give admission in iit aerospace engineering?

You can definitely give the GATE exam with B. E. in Electrical branch. You just need to select the stream of your choice during form filing for that you need to be at least in your final year of engineering.
There is no restrictions if you want to choose other stream for GATE exam.

If you have done B.E. in electrical then you are eligible to appear for GATE exam, as the minimum academic qualification needed to appear in GATE exam is that the candidate must have passed their graduation in Engineering or Technology or A master's degree in any relevant subject of science.

Pre-Final year students and final year students are also Eligible to appear for GATE exam.
