can you tell me how should I correct the the mother's name in 12th class marksheet, in my 10th class Marksheet mother's name is SANTA but in 12th there is SHANTA...?

yes, you can modify the name in the marksheet. For this you need to visit your school , ask them for same then they will give you an application form for same, but if its not possible then visit the official website of your board (for CBSE, visit here: cbse.nic.in , download the name correction form and fill it up. You might be needed to submit some documents such as :
- School leaving certificate of the previous school which is submitted by the parents at the time of admission.
- A portion of the page of admission and withdrawal register of the school where the entry has been made with respect to the candidate.
And then you need to pay the fee, for father's/mother's name correction it is 1000 rupees + actual amount of document. And then the board will make the necessary correction.
