Its totally depends on your subject interest and career interest to as what stream to choose in 11th. You have three stream options to take in 11th : Science, Commerce and Humanities (or Arts). As you have not mentioned about your interest and the course you want to opt for, so let me brief you about all three.
If you opt for Science, you can go for engineering field, medical field, civil services, and other career paths.
If you opt for Commerce, you can go for MBA, hotel management, chartered accountant, company secretary, and many more.
If you opt for Arts, you can go for law, civil services, social work, government jobs, and so on.
For the numbers of hours to study, you need to study approximately equal in all these fields for better career. And if you have a goal or target to complete, do not count the hours to study but just do your preparation effectively.
