Approx yearly fees in India:
• Government colleges → around Rs 50,000 to Rs 2 lakh per year
• Private colleges → around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 4 lakh per year
• Top private universities like Vellore Institute of Technology, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, or Manipal Academy of Higher Education can charge even more depending on specialization and category.

Hostel and mess charges are usually separate.
