For OBC-NCL candidates, CSE cutoffs can vary a lot depending on the college. In general, top IITs usually close at very high ranks, while newer IITs, NITs, and IIITs may have comparatively lower closing ranks.

For NITs/IIITs, good chances for CSE are often seen within around 15k–20k ranks, while top NITs can be more competitive. In IITs, top campuses usually close within a few hundred ranks for CSE, whereas newer IITs may go higher.

Final cutoffs depend on JoSAA counselling, category, college preference, and seat availability each year.
