Hello Akash,
The admission of diploma candidates in B. Tech is done by the same process as that of any other candidate. BUt the entrance exam of diploma candidates is different from class 12 students. IITs and NITs do not offer lateral entry but most of the private universities in India have a lateral entry option. The course fee for a lateral entry student is the same as the normal entry students and it is according to the university.
