Hello Aspirant,
The term Rajput starts coming in use from the 6th century AD. The origin of the Rajputs is the subject of debate. There are four main streams of thought on the origin of Rajputs:
1. Foreign origin theory of Rajputs
2. Mixed Origin Theory
3. Kashtriya Theory of Origin
4. Agnikula Theory
All the Rajput families were the descendants of the Gujaras and the Guijaras were of the foreign origin. Therefore, all the Rajput families were of foreign origin and later on were placed among Indian Kshatriyas and were called the Rajputs.
