cse vs ece which is best.placements how
Hi,
As per going with current trends and the upcoming future, CSE branch will continue to flourish than any other branches. CSE branch has relatively high placement opportunities which turns to high salary packages relatively to other branches. But there isn't any scope of CSE in government sector. For government sector jobs, ECE should be preferred over CSE any day.
ECE is the branch of Engineering which is dependent upon electronics and electrical components while CSE deals with computer science and all problems related to computer
So if we see in the future , the use of computers is going to increase only ,so there is a good scope in CSE but it would be wrong to say that ECE does not have much scope because the use of Electronics is also going to increase in the future .
But the only thing that go for CSE if you want to go in private sector because CSE has more scope in private sector as compared to government sector while on the other hand ECE has more scope in government sector.
From the past records if we observe, there are much more placements in government sector in ECE branch as compared to CSE branch and as far as the package salary is concerned it only depends upon the organization in which you are placed.
Both are equivalently good sector. CSE course will be easy through out your 4 years but ECE will be very tough. Any branch that is integrated with electronics is named as an evergreen branch of engineering. Electronics is still an emerging sector in India and after the make in India thing we see a lot of boost in this sector but day by day its becoming hard to survive in sector related to CSE. More efficient people with lesser salary are available to work for the company and that is why people start getting kicked out during recession but since ECE has a demand everywhere, there might be a chance that you survive the heat. Also you want to work in field, you can apply for IES (Indian Engineering Services) which enables you to directly work as an executive engineer in government companies like BSNL,RAILWAY(RAILTEL),etc. Generally it takes around around 6 years to get stipend of executive engineer but cracking this exams enables you to have your promotions starting from executive engineer.
So at the end in my opinion i would recommend you CSE over ECE, since it has much higher placement and scope. But final judgement will be yours.
Hope this helps.
Good luck.
