Deemed university vers private university
Hi,
There is not much difference between a deemed and a private university. A deemed university is referred to those, who due to their remarkable performance in academics has been granted a privilege by UGC. The benefit of this is that they can set their academic course work, syllabus for their studies and research work, own guidelines, fees structure and can give their own degree. On the other hand, in a private university, a lot of colleges are operated under it and they needs to follow certain rules and regulations. There are private universities too that are deemed university as well. However, if you are planning to do research work with specialisation, then do opt for deemed universities while if you want to pursue UG or PG course, then you can choose from any.
