derivatives of sinrootx+cos^2rootx
Dear aspirant,
Let y = sin√x + cos²√x
Let √x=t, then y= Sint + Cos²t
dy/dx = dy/dt × dt/ dx
dy/dx= Cost ×1/2√x + (- 2 Cost Sint ×1/2√x)
= 1/2√x Cos√x -1/2√x Sin2√ x
The above problem can be easily solved by using chain rule, since there is no direct derivate of Sin√x we apply chain rule by assuming √x as t and then finding derivate seperately for Sint and √x. The same procedure is repeated for finding derivate of Cos²√x. At the end we again substitute t as √x.
Hope it helps!!
