The factors responsible for contamination of water are Se wage And Waste Water : Sewage, garbage and liquid waste of households, agricultural lands and factories are discharged into lakes and rivers. These wastes contain harmful chemicals and toxins which make the water poisonous for aquatic animals and plants.

Contamination of water, is just the pollution of water by any means. There are a lot of factors that are responsible for the contamination of water.
- Sewage Waste
- Household garbage in form of liquid waste
- Industrial waste
- Solid waste like plastics, bottles, etc, in oceans, and lakes etc.
- Bathing of aninals in lakes and ponds, usually in villages
- Acid rain
- Oil leakage in oceans from big ships
