Did any NIT or IIITs participate in CSAB SFTI

Hi satya ,
Neither nits nor iits participate in CSAB SFTI as SFTIs are self funded institute whereas NITS and IITS are government funded institute. In sftis only 19 colleges participate of which most of them are private institutes like amity university.

As per your question the answer is NO. NITs and IIITs doesn't participate under CSAB SFTI.
CSAB 2019 special round 1 counselling result got declared on July 28. Candidates can exercise an option for their acceptance and withdrawal of seats from July 29 to July 30. The authorities will be declaring round 2 CSAB 2019 counselling results on August 1. Candidates who accept the offer in either of the special rounds of seat allotment through JEE Main scores will have to report at the allotted institute for admission from August 2 to August 5, 2019.







Online registrations for CSAB 2019 special rounds were held from July 25 to July 27. Interested candidates had to complete the online registrations and make the payment of application fee in order to participate in CSAB special round counselling.







CSAB had released the official notification for the special round counselling for admission to all NITs, IIITs and CFTIs across India through JEE Main score. CSAB special rounds are conducted for seats that remain vacant after seven rounds of JoSAA counselling.







CSAB (Centralised Seat Allocation Board) counselling is conducted by NIT Trichy for admission to the undergraduate engineering and architecture courses offered at National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other centrally funded technical institutes (CFTIs). Candidates who cleared JEE Main can participate in CSAB counselling for admissions.








CSAB Admission Process

CSAB conducts a centralized counselling for four categories as mentioned below:


1. CSAB Special Round: For all NITs, IIITs and CFTIs across India


2. CSAB SFTI: For 12 self-financed technical institutes


3. CSAB NUET: For supernumerary seats in NITs for Union Territories, and in some AICTE approved Institutes for North East and Union Territories (NEUT)


4. CSAB Supernumerary: For the supernumerary round of counselling for Union Territories (UTs) of Andaman & Nicobar, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu, Lakshadweep & Kandvi









CSAB Special Round Counselling

CSAB will be conducting two additional rounds of online counselling after the seven rounds of JoSAA counselling process concludes. Candidates will be allotted seat basis their JEE Main rank.


Eligibility for CSAB 2019 Special Round

Candidates willing to participate in CSAB special round must check the prescribed eligibility criteria as stated below:


Candidates must have appeared for JEE Main 2019 and possess a valid score

Candidates who participated in JoSAA 2019 but were not allotted any seat

Candidates who have been allotted a seat in JoSAA 2019 but were not satisfied with the allotment
