difference between locomotion amd movement
Hello,
Although etymology of the both words in the English language is same but there is a lot of difference if we consider them as scientific terminologies. the terms are mainly related to Biological aspect of studies.
Locomotion is something that helps you to move from one place to another. like we use our limbs, birds use their wings, fishes use there fins for purpose of locomotion. hence these limbs, wings, fins etc., are called as locomotive organs or structures.
On the other hand, Movement is just a motion but it will not displace us. Like movements or dilation of our pupils, movement of our muscles while doing exercise or yoga posture and many more.
Hence, conclusion is all Locomotion are Movements, but not all Movements are Locomotion.
Thank you.
