MBA stands for Masters in Business Adminstration and is a degree course. PGDM stands for Post-Graduation Diploma in Management and is a Diploma course and that is the basic difference between the two courses. PGDM is offered by autonomous/private/deemed-to-be Universities whereas MBA is offered by Universities recognized under the UGC.
