Differenciate between Fossils and Living fossils.

Hello Candidate,

Living fossils are used to refer to those group of organisms which have not changed naturally with the evolution of time and whose parents members or other members of the same family have actually been extinct. Some of t he examples of living fossils are- horseshoe crabs (family Limulidae), tuatara (Sphenodon) and the ginkgo (Ginkgo biloba), etc.  On the other hand, processor used to refer to those plants and animals specimens which have been decomposed over millions of years ago and because of the the role of factors such as pressure and temperature conditions these specimens have been converted into fossil fuels and stored in the Earth's surface in the form of reserves such as coal, Petroleum, natural gas, and various other hydrocarbons.
