Solution : Let the number of girls be $x$ and the number of boys be $y$ .

The ratio of the number of girls to the number of boys in a town is 90%.

$\Rightarrow \frac{x}{y}=90%$

$\Rightarrow \frac{x}{y}=\frac{90}{100}$

$\Rightarrow \frac{x}{y}=0.9$

$x=0.9y$

The total number of boys and girls in the town is 190.

$x+y=190$

Put the value of $x$ in above equation.

$0.9y+y=190$

$1.9y=190$

$y=\frac{190}{1.9}$

$y=100$

By putting the value of $y$ in $x=0.9y$

$x=0.9\times y$

$x=0.9\times 100$

$x=90$

Therefore, the total number of girls in the town is 90.

Hence, third option is correct.
