Correct Answer: 9
Solution : Let the age of the youngest child be x years.
So, the age of the second child = (x + 4) years.
The age of the third child = (x + 8) years.
The age of the fourth child = (x + 12) years.
The sum of the ages of all 4 children is 60.
⇒ x + (x + 4) + (x + 8) + (x + 12) = 60
⇒ 4x + 24 = 60
⇒ 4x = 36
⇒ x = 9
So, the age of the youngest child is 9 years.
Hence, option second is correct.
