Correct Answer: –5 and 17
Solution :
Given:
I. 8 – 4 × 6 ÷ 3 + 7
II. 8 × 3 – 6 ÷ 2 + 4
On interchanging 8 and 4 in the above equations we get –
Equation I:
4 – 8 × 6 ÷ 3 + 7
= 4 – 8 × 2 + 7
= 4 – 16 + 7
= –5
Equation II:
4 × 3 – 6 ÷ 2 + 8
= 4 × 3 – 3 + 8
= 12 – 3 + 8
= 17
So, the values are –5 and 17 respectively for equations (I) and (II).
Hence, the
third option
is correct.
