Synaptonemal complex is a protein structure that forms between homologous chromosomes during meiosis. Dissolution of the synaptonemal complex occurs during Diplotene stage of Meiosis. Infact, the beginning of diplotene is recognised by the dissolution of Synaptonemal complex.
