Do companies recruit cuvil engineers or should we work on own? Do placements occur in colleges?

For civil engineers there are both options. But the best one is to obtain experience on site working for other companies and gaining knowledge. Then if you want you can start your own business. There are campus interviews in most of the colleges. There are some criteria of the company in which you have to fit and if selected you can get a job from college campus.
