Do I need to resign my R1 seat in college i got thru mcc aiq counselling if I went for upgradation during the admission process? Or do I need to go ahead with fresh choice filling in round 2 ? What is the process then ?

Hello Aspirant,
If you have accepted your Round 1 (R1) seat through MCC AIQ counselling (and opted for upgradation), you don't have to resign your R1 seat to participate in Round 2; you can just do a fresh choice filling.
- If you get a better seat in Round 2, your R1 seat will automatically be cancelled and you must join the new college.
- However, if you do not get upgraded, your R1 seat is secure.
So, Accept your R1 seat, do fresh choice filling in Round 2 and wait for the allotment results.
