Yes, JEE Preparation will help you to crack KCET exam not only KCET it will help you in all engineering exams.
JEE is the toughest exam in all and it's standard is also high. In KCET you get direct formula based questions. Make sure you solve previous year papers of KCET to know the idea about the exam pattern and level of questions.
You can easily score good marks in KCET if you are well prepared for JEE.

JEE Main is one of the premier engineering tests for undergraduate admission in engineering colleges like NITs, IIITs, CFTIs among others.
The JEE Main question paper is also of quite high difficulty level. If you prepare for JEE Main and complete the entire syllabus, you should be able to do pretty well in KCET, as JEE Main syllabus covers much of what you will be asked in KCET exam.
As for how much you might score depends entirely on the level of your preparation.
