Do we have to register for NIT or we get admission to it by counselling according to our Jee ranking ?

JEE counselling is done by JOSAA(The Joint Seat Allocation Authority) that conducts seat allotment for IITs ,NITs, and other colleges who have registered with JOSAA for their seat allocation.Thus you need not to separately go for registration for NIT only.Just fill your choice wisely during counselling and rest you will get the best out of your choices based on your preferences.

Hey Damn, the counselling for all the NIITS and other colleges which take admission through Jee Main is done by JOOSA, a counselling committee in which you will commonly register for all the colleges in which you are interested. So there is no need to register separately for any of them.

No you don't have to register for NIT admission is strictly through counselling .So please dont indulge with anyone who offer you admission in nits.
