Do well known colleges really matter for a bright future?

Hello Aspirant,
Everybody has a different opinion regarding this question but according to me, NO , college doesn't matter much. The main focus of a student should be on his / her knowledge about the subject they're studying. Even if you get a great college in a field in which you're least interested, you won't land up in a good place. And if you take a subject in which you excel and you're most interested in, even private colleges are good enough. Honestly, their placement cells are much better than that of government colleges. All the students get a job according to their potential. I know many people personally who aren't from a great college, even from colleges who's names we probably wouldn't have heard before, but they did excellent job in their academics and landed up in great places with high salary packages .
Hope this helps you!
All the best!
