Generally hostels are of two types:

• On Campus
• Off Campus

The on-campus hostels are administered by college and comes under responsibility of the college. There are two saparate hostels for boys and girls. One needs to talk to the warden of the respective hostel for the purpose of taking admission. These hostels are safer and more student friendly than off campus hostels. However, they may charge higher fees depending on type of room you apply. Generally, they start with two-seaters and can count up-to four seaters.

The off-campus hostels are not part of college and there is not any responsibility of college administration. These can be of one-seater, two-seater and can be upto four seater. The cost might be lesser or equivalent to college hostel for two-seater and higher but it's very costly if one takes single seater room.

The security and responsibility is totally on hostel managers, workers and student itself.
