Life of a marine engineer is simply challenging. There will be many challenges one will be facing. Talking about ROI, it is far better than any other profession. It is not like that you have to stay 6 months in sea. It depends on your rank, company etc. It solely depends on the nature of engagement and contract between the engineer and the company.
