According to present scenario, I won't say chemical is best. The chemical industry has reached its saturation. There won't be high opportunities Only you will get few opportunities in terms of job.

At present IT induatry is booming, you will get much better opportunities in CSE,AI, IT and ECE.

So, join them leaving chemical. But if you have intrest in chemical than only go for it.
