It does but not significantly.It depends on several things which Include :

• If you are going to stop with the UG alone, it matters .
• If you are planning to go abroad for higher studies , it matters.
• If you are planning for higher studies in INDIA , it does not matter. Because there are several entrance exam conducted to get admission in PG courses

So it varies accordingly
