Does giving multiple attempts at JEE mains and scoring slightly less (or more) than the previous attempt could risk your future admissions in NIT?

Even though JEE Main Entrance Examination is conducted four times in a year the best of four sessions will be considered for final ranking. Since JEE Main is conducted four times in a year the candidates will have the scope to perform well in the next session if not done well in the previous session. Scoring less in a session than the previous session will not risk your admission in to NITs because the seat allocation is based on merit of the candidate, category of the candidate, preferences of the institutes and seat availability. So need to aim to score decent percentile/rank in order to secure admission to NIT. If you belong to general category you need to aim to score minimum 98-99 percentile or above, if you belong to OBC/EWS category you need to aim to score minimum 97 percentile or above, if you belong to SC/ST category you need to aim to score minimum 95 percentile or above. National testing agency had introduced the system of of 4 attempts for JEE main examination in order to provide the candidates ample opportunity to test their skills and preparation level. There are several factors that may hinder the results of a candidate which includes a bad day, fever or any other disease, demise of relatives etc so to avoid this the concept of four attempts was introduced. Now any candidate can appear for or either one or 2 or 3 or all the phases of examination and the final result would be formed on the best of four concept. The examination is just for the sake of entrance into the the college and it would not affect your future decisions or results at the college.

In one line I want to clear you that there is no any relation between your past attempts and your ongoing attempts or your future attempts.

The only thing which matters is if you have qualified the general cutoff for any NIT college then surely you will be getting a seat and thereafter you can take the admission.

So don't worry keep going smarter and harder and as you have given some previous attempts then you must be knowing everything so work on your weaknesses then surely you can achieve the target you want to.
