Government aided college means that the college is owned by private individuals but government pays a bit of subsidy to the college. So, the curiculum, examinations, syllabus and other things may be controlled by the private management but it follows the same academic rules and regulations laid by the government. The cost of studying in such colleges is less than that of private ones but definitely a bit expensive as compared to fully government ones.
