does JEE mains have negative marking?

Yes jeemain has negative marking.however this year paper pattern has slightly changed.this year the paper consists of 90 questions ,30 for each subject i.e physics, chemistry and maths.in each subject of 30 questions ,20 are mcqs and 10 are numericals.for the 20 mcqs you will be having negative marking.correct answer will be awarded 4 marks and for wrong one one mark will be deducted.for 10 numericals there is choice you can attempt any 5 of 10 which you find easy.there is no negative marking for numericals.for more information you can refer to: https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-exam-pattern/amp hope this helps,

Yes JEE main has negative marking. 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer for MCQs. For answer with a numeric value 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 0 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. As per the latest JEE Main 2021 exam pattern, paper 1 will have a total of 90 questions, 25 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Maths. Candidates have to attempt only 75 questions. Each subject will have 20 MCQs and 10 numerical questions. 5 out of 10 numerical questions are optional. JEE Main 2021 for paper 1 (B.Tech) will be conducted for 300 marks.
